Cherry Coffee Cake

1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can (Cherry or any pie filling)

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Add sifted dry ingredients- mix well. Batter will be thick. Grease and flour 13 x 9 pan. Bake 350˚ for 40 min. Spread 3/4 batter in pan, pour pie filling over batter, spread gently. Drop remaining batter from a spoon over filling here and there, then sprinkle crumb mixture (listed below) over all.
