Parents should call 973-470-5770 for an appointment for their child. By law in New Jersey, children enrolled in daycare or preschool who are between the ages of 6 months to 59 months, who do not have documentation of a current flu shot by December 31st, 2018, will be excluded by their facility after December 31st either until 3/31/19 (the official “end” of the flu season) or until documentation is provided. Additionally, children between the ages of 6 months and 18 years who are uninsured or have Medicaid Plan A, are eligible for free flu shots. Free Vascular Ultrasound Screening
CLIFTON, NJ – The Clifton Health Department and the Center for Vein Restoration will be offering a FREE Lower Leg Vascular Ultrasound Screening for Clifton residents on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 1 pm-4 pm at the Clifton Health Department, located at 900 Clifton Ave., 2nd Floor. Registration is required. Please call the Clifton Health Department at 973-470-5773 to register. Please call as soon as possible as space is limited. Vascular screening is one of the most effective methods of performing early diagnosis of vascular diseases. Vascular ultrasound is a noninvasive method that will reveal if there is a blockage in a leg vein, which can be dangerous and life-threatening if the clot breaks loose and travels through the blood to the lungs. This screening does not replace a visit to a physician, but results should be shared with your primary care doctor for possible recommendations for treatment. Please call 973-470-5773 to register or for more information about this Free Vascular Education and Screening Session. Remember, only a comprehensive ultrasound scan can reveal what truly lies beneath your skin.
