Valentine’s Dance At St. Pete’s, FL Polish American Club
FLORIDA – The Polish American Club of St. Petersburg invites all to join them at their annual Valentine’s Dance on Sunday, February 10th from 1:30 to 6 pm. Dinner 2-6 pm; Polka Band 3-6 pm. Fundraiser to Support 10th Annual Health Hike
HAMTRAMCK, Mich. – The Hamtramck Drug Free Community Coalition (HDFCC) will be partnering with Baker Streetcar Bar to host a fundraiser dinner from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27. A donation of $20 at the door will cover the meal, and will go towards the 10th Annual Health Hike. The evening will also include a cash bar and a 50/50 raffle. Baker Streetcar Bar is located at 9817 Joseph Campau Ave. This year’s Heath Hike will be held on Saturday, May 4. The Hamtramck Health Hike is an annual event hosted by the HDFCC that consists of a 5K course through the streets of Hamtramck. This event encourages community members of all ages to walk or run the course and participate in other healthy activities throughout the day, free of charge. The Health Hike draws 400 to 500 people annually, and this year the Hike is celebrating its 10th year of encouraging the youth and adults of Hamtramck to live healthy, drug-free lifestyles. This event would not be possible without the incredible support from the community. Dinner and a Movie
CLIFTON, NJ – Bring your family to the Clifton Community Recreation Center (1232 Main Ave.) for a low cost night out of dinner and a movie on Wednesday, February 20, 2019. The Polish American Congress Charitable Foundation is formally announcing that it is accepting applications for the Majer & Lakowski Families Memorial Scholarships. Scholarships will be granted to full-time undergraduate or graduate students majoring in either engineering or business administration at a public state university or college. Preference will be given to juniors, seniors and graduate students. The amount of the scholarship will be equal to the total annual tuition charge, not including fees, for a student classified by the institution involved as a state resident. Free Memory Assessment For Clifton and Little Falls Residents
CLIFTON, NJ – The Clifton Health Department and Hackensack Meridian Health Mountainside Medical Center will be offering a FREE Memory Assessment for Clifton and Little Falls residents on February 21, 2019 from 2pm-4pm at the Clifton Health Department, 900 Clifton Ave., 2nd Floor. A memory screening does not replace a consultation with a physician; however, it is an important step in finding out if an individual may have a memory problem. Memory loss that begins to disrupt daily life may be a symptom of a dementia, such as Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive disease that begins with mild memory loss and can possibly lead to loss of the ability to carry on a conversation and respond to the environment. In addition, it can seriously affect a person’s ability to carry out daily activities. The Clifton Health Department encourages you to register for this free Assessment if you would like to test your memory and learn about your risk for Alzheimer’s disease. The Clifton Health Department is a contractual health agency serving the Township of Little Falls.
Get Healthy-Be Fit – Women’s Event
