Banana Pops

BANANA POPS

INGREDIENTS:
4 wooden sticks (skewers or plastic knives)
2 medium bananas, peeled, cut in half crosswise
1/2 c. crispy rice cereal
2 T. toasted coconut flakes
2 T. finely chopped peanuts
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon or nutmeg
2 T. maple syrup
1/2 c. chocolate shell topping

Insert wooden sticks into cut end of banana. Place on baking sheet (cookie sheet) freeze until firm. Meanwhile in shallow dish mix cereal, coconut, peanuts & cinnamon. Brush frozen bananas with maple syrup and then roll in cereal mixture to coat. Cover each pop with 1/4 cup shell topping. Return to freezer until completely frozen, about 1 1/2 hrs.
Good treat for children’s birthday party.
I used to make them on special days if they made good grades at school.
