Youth Week “Clifton’s Got Talent” Contest

CLIFTON, NJ – Join the Clifton Recreation Department and Clifton Mustang Pride for the 4th Annual “Clifton’s Got Talent” Contest.  The event will be open to all Clifton students grades K to 12.  Auditions are required and a limited number of acts will be selected to participate in the contest.  Cash prizes will be awarded at the contest for winners in several categories, courtesy of Clifton Mustang Pride.   All individuals that audition will receive a certificate, recreation dollars and a ribbon.

Auditions will be conducted at the Community Recreation Center, 1232 Main Avenue on Saturday, April 5th from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. or Sunday, April 6th from 9:00 a.m.– 1:00 p.m.  Individuals must be pre-registered to participate in the auditions.  All individuals selected for the contest must attend a mandatory dress rehearsal on Wednesday, April 30th beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Clifton High School.   The contest will be conducted on Saturday, May 3rd at 6:30 p.m. at Clifton High School, 333 Colfax Avenue.

Register for this event at the Recreation Department, located in Clifton City Hall, 900 Clifton Ave.  The maximum time per act is four (4) minutes.

All performances, costumes and song lyrics must be appropriate for all ages to view.  Approval of all acts is at the discretion of the event committee.  Tickets for the event are $10.00 per person.  All proceeds will be donated to the Clifton Mustang Pride to support their fundraising efforts dedicated to the Pride of Clifton – the Children.

Please be advised of the following eligibility requirements. This event is open to amateurs only, no professional acts. Participants may only be in one solo or group performance. Lip synching and air bands are not permitted. Acts must provide all necessary accompaniments and props. Singers may only use music with no vocals. No flames, weapons or pyrotechnics permitted.
