Polish Falcons of America Scholarships 2014
The Polish Falcons is pleased to announce that the applications for the 2014-2015 school years are available for both the Dr. T.A. Starzynski and Richard C. Gorecki Programs.
Please visit our website at http://polishfalcons.org/scholarship and click on the scholarship of your choice. Applications are available for download.
The Gorecki Program remains the same as in previous years. The applications must be postmarked by Tuesday, April 15. The Members of the Independent Committee will meet and make their decisions prior to the National Board of Directors Meeting that will be held in mid-May.
The Starzynski Program now has a third category, called Involvement. The amount of the grant is $1000.00 and is for those Members who have been active in the Falcon programs on a Nest, District or National level but have not been active throughout their high school years. This should help with those who certainly deserve more than those who have not been active at all but who aren’t as involved as those in the Achievement Category.
The Mary Kus recipient is chosen from the Achievement Category. This individual must be the most impressive in this group. Their grades, Falcons activity, and community service determine the applicant chosen.
There is the option to tell the committee a little more about yourself; it is optional but I strongly encourage the applicants to share information that would not be mentioned anywhere else on the application. This is a good opportunity to give yourself that edge.
The applications for the Starzynski Program must be postmarked by Saturday, February 15. The Members of the Scholarship Committee consisting of Patricia Del Busse, Edward Ciesla, Janet Knauber, Christine Puskar and Mary Rand will make their decision at the March meeting.
All applicants will be notified of their status following the committee meetings.
The application for the Nest 192 Non-traditional Student program will be available in mid-January with the postmark date being Sunday, June 15.
