“Recovery Day By Day”
Program To Provide Viewers With A One-Step Resource
On Post-Hurricane Sandy Resources And Information
EDISON, N.J., March 12, 2013 – News 12 New Jersey today introduced “Recovery Day by Day,” an exclusive program that chronicles New Jersey’s ongoing recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane Sandy and provides important information to viewers still rebuilding their lives after the storm. The 30-minute program airs live each weeknight on News 12 New Jersey, Optimum TV channel 12, and is hosted by anchor Eric Landskroner. The program also airs an encore telecast at 9:30pm, and is offered as an on-demand selection on Optimum TV channel 612 and on News12.com.

“Recovery Day By Day” began airing last month and features topics of importance to New Jersey residents recovering from Sandy, including flood planning, disaster relief aid options, beach and boardwalk restoration activity, and transitional shelter. To date, the program has covered local public meetings and reported on activity in more than 50 towns such as Hoboken, Seaside Heights, Jersey City and Cape May.
According to Nielsen ratings, News 12 New Jersey was the most watched channel in the state before, during and immediately after the storm. During the first 100 days following Sandy, News 12 New Jersey provided extensive coverage of live press conferences and town hall meetings hosted by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and disaster recovery specialists. The channel also offered exclusive reporting on recovery efforts from across the state, including reports on the impact to local tourism and seasonal businesses.
