Dozens of banks throughout the state are considered for the Community Service Award, with final recipients determined by independent members of the New Jersey Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (NJ-PRSA). Only seven ultimately were chosen.
Clifton Savings Bank participated in a number of community service projects and charitable endeavors in 2012, including an active role in the Bergen County Division of Community Development’s American Dream Program; a donation to New Jersey Community Development Corporation, a non-profit community development and social service agency operating in Paterson; volunteer efforts and donations to Habitat for Humanity; and personally conducting complimentary financial education courses for underprivileged New Jerseyans.
“Clifton Savings Bank has been serving New Jersey for 85 years. We’re appreciative of our longstanding success here and fully aware of our roles and responsibilities within the greater community,” said Walter Celuch, President of Clifton Savings Bank. “We are grateful for the recognition from the New Jersey Bankers Association, and look forward to continuing our active role in the communities we serve.”
