Polish Day At The KF
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Please join us at The Kosciuszko Foundation in Washington on Saturday, July 12th from noon to 5 p.m. to Celebrate Poland. Come and spend the day with our Polish and American friends and participate in games and fun. Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, Ryszard Schnepf, will be our honorary guest! Music, songs and a delicious lunch prepared by the Polish Embassy’s Chef featuring classic Polish dishes… then participate in Trivia about Poland (prizes for the winners), a Scavenger Hunt for the young ones, and “Fun with Karaoke” – in Polish or English (prizes for all participants). Polish amber necklaces and great books will be available for sale. Admission: Free for KF members, children and students, $15 p.p. for all others (membership forms will be available). Clifton Night At The Jackals
NEW JERSEY – Join fellow residents on the other side of the rainbow for this festive event on Thursday, July 17, co-sponsored by the Clifton Recreation Department, the NJ Jackals and the Clifton Optimist Club. Come root for the New Jersey Jackals beginning 7:05 p.m. at Yogi Berra Stadium on the MSU Campus. This year’s theme is: St. Patty’s Day. Wear your St. Patty’s Day best & receive a goody bag at the game. Prizes will be given to the participants with the best outfit. Join us for crafts, games and a lucky charm hunt. Cost: $6.00 per person. Receive 1 free raffle ticket for NJ Jackals souvenirs (courtesy of the Clifton Optimist Club). Ocean County Polish American Social Club – Meeting Date Changed For July
NEW JERSEY – Our club members meet on the second Saturday of the month at the Manchester Firehouse on Commonwealth Blvd. in Manchester at 12:30 p.m. There will be a change in our meeting date, just for the month of July; we will meet on July 19th at 12:30 p.m. All are welcome. The planned trip to Doolan’s Spring Lake Polka Swing scheduled for July 17th has been cancelled. If you made reservations, your check will be returned. The following trips are being offered: July 10th – the Barnegat Ocean Theatre for show, harvest buffet; August 21st – the Moshulu Restaurant (sailing ship turned restaurant) in Philadelphia for lunch, then to Sugar House Casino; Sept. 23rd – Tomasello Winery in Philadelphia, lunch and casino; Oct. 7th – PlatzHaus, Pomona, NY for the Octoberfest; Nov. 5th – Hazlet Lakeside Manor for show “Jewish-Italian Wedding” Comedy.
