Budzinski Elected President of Chopin SS
NEW JERSEY – The Chopin Singing Society (male chorus) of Passaic returned home from the Polish Singers Alliance National Convention placing honorably in the Male Category. The convention was held in Dearborn, Michigan, Memorial Day weekend under the auspices of District IV, PSAA. The chorus recently held its annual meeting and election of officers in mid-June. John Budzinski, a life-long member was elected President and the balance of officers remains constant. Upcoming events include our Christmas concert which will be held on Sunday, December 7th at the Polish home in Passaic. The chorus is the host of the District 7 PSAA convention which will be held in the environs of Passaic, May, 2015…….the chorus is under the direction of Anthony Tabish…….we are always looking for new members, please call John @ 973-779-4310..
Polish Soldiers Day
PENNSYLVANIA – The Polish Army Veterans Post #12 “Polish Soldiers Day” will be held on Sunday, August 3rd at the Polish Veterans Park (Polanka), 3258 Knights Road, Bensalem. PRCUA National Convention Golf Outing
OHIO – The PRCUA 2014 National Convention Golf Outing will be held on Saturday, August 9th at the Detwiler Park Golf Course, 4001 N. Summit St., Toledo. Shotgun Start 11:00 A.M. MASSACHUSETTS – Holy Cross Parish, Polish National Catholic Church of Ware, is sponsoring its annual Parish Picnic on Sunday, August 10 from 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm on the church grounds. Various booths, games, snacks, filled baskets and pastry will be featured. Polish traditional food will be available in the parish kitchen all afternoon. Cash drawing at 4:00 p.m. Stephen Socha is picnic chairman assisted by Evelyn Mongeau as co-chair. Members of the parish committee with Francis Trzepacz chairman and volunteer parishioners constitute the picnic committee. A cordial and warm invitation is extended to our many friends in Ware and nearby towns. Come one, come all to our Parish Polish Picnic. As in past years, fellowship is always enjoyed by all attendees. This year will be the same if not greater.

August Children’s Programs At Wallington Library
NEW JERSEY – The John F. Kennedy Memorial Library announces our August Children’s program lineup: For ages 3 and up, Bingo will be held on August 7th and 21st at 2:30 pm in the library. Movie Night is on August14 at 6 pm at the VFW. The movie will be RIO 2 which is rated PG. Summer craft days are Mondays at 2:30 for ages 3 to 5 and Tuesdays at 2:30 for ages 6 to 8. Family Camp Out
NEW JERSEY – The Clifton Recreation Department will be hosting their award winning Annual Family Camp-Out. Grab your tent and sleeping bags and come celebrate the start of the weekend by spending quality time in the outdoors with your family as well as fellow residents. The event will be taking place in Albion Park on Friday, August 22nd beginning at 6:00 p.m. and will run through Saturday morning, August 23rd (rain date Friday, August 29th & Saturday, August 30th). Enjoy a fun night of camping, family games, activities, dinner and dessert. Gather around a real campfire Friday night, roast marshmallows, sing songs and tell tales. The following morning enjoy breakfast and educational camp stations, such as knot-tying, crafts, fire building, cooking, first aid, compass reading and more! This year’s camping theme is “Take a Hike”. Don’t miss this great opportunity to go camping right in your own back yard. Admission is $10 per family of four or $3 per person for Clifton residents, and $20 per family of four or $6 per person for non-residents.
