Night With The Candidate

P.A.C.C. of Camden County 2013 Picnic
NEW JERSEY – On Saturday, July 27th, the Polish American Citizens Club of Camden County will hold its’ “2013 Picnic” at J.C.C. Camps at Medford, 400 Tuckerton Rd., Medford from 12 noon to 6 p.m. Music by Rick Gazda Band. Rain or Shine. For more information call 856-466-7396.

Polish American Heritage Association Picnic
PENNSYLVANIA
– On Sunday, July 28th, the Berks County Polish American Heritage Association will hold a picnic at the Lower Alsace Picnic Grove, Roosevelt & Columbia Avenues, Stony Creek Mills (a suburb of Reading) at 1 p.m. The  Ed Legenski Family will cater the event. PCF Summer Family Picnic
NEW JERSEY -  Come one, come all and come join the fun with your family and friends. The Polish Cultural Foundation at 177 Broadway, Clark, NJ 07066 is hosting its’ first Summer Family Fun Filled Picnic on Sunday, July 28th from 3 to 8 pm. We are combining the best of both worlds; good old fashion American BBQ coupled with Polish hospitality, your favorite Polish food and music by Kapela “Chmielówka” and DJ Leszek.  There is something for everyone.   There’s a bouncer house, face painting, games and more for the children, a “House Party” club music with DJ for the young adults (there is an admission charge to the “House Party”), and our Picnic wouldn’t be complete without a beer garden with Polish beer on tap for the adults.  Come sample the best tasting grilled kięlbasy, stuffed cabbage, kiszka and homemade pierogi along with pączki and other deserts. Spaghetti Dinner
MASSACHUSETTS – St. Valentine’s Polish National Catholic Church, 127 King Street, Northampton, will hold a “Spaghetti Dinner” on Saturday, July 27th from 5-7 p.m. in the Parish Hall. The menu:  Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, Spaghetti with Meatless Sauce, Meatballs, Garlic Bread, Salad, Coffee/tea/milk, dessert.  There will be raffles, a Bake Sale and Cabbage Pierogi Sale. “Psychiatric Advanced Directives” Workshop
NEW JERSEY -  Please join us for a social service workshop, presented by Rebekah Leon, Associate Executive Director of the Mental Health Association in Passaic County. Psychiatric Advanced Directives (PAD) is a set of written instructions the person with the mental illness develops for their psychiatric treatment in the event the individual is unable to make or communicate those instructions. The workshop will take place on between 6:00 and 7:30 pm, on July 31st, 2013. Location: Mental Health Association in Passaic County, 404 Clifton Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07011. Orchard Lake Fine Art Show

Clifton Night At The Jackals
NEW JERSEY -  Join fellow residents on the other side of the rainbow for this festive event on Thursday, August 1, co-sponsored by the Clifton Recreation Department, the NJ Jackals and the Clifton Optimist Club.  Come root for the New Jersey Jackals beginning 7:05 p.m. at Yogi Berra Stadium on the MSU Campus.  This year’s theme is: St. Patty’s Day. Wear your St. Patty’s Day best & receive a goody bag at the game. Prizes will be given to the participants with the best outfit.  Join us for crafts, games and a lucky charm hunt. The cost is $5.50 per person. Receive 1 free raffle ticket for NJ Jackals souvenirs (courtesy of the Clifton Optimist Club). Participants interested in becoming a Baseball Buddy, Spirit Team member or Clean Sweep Squad member for the evening should register at the Recreation Department. Residents will be seated together and the raffles will be drawn in the 5th inning. Yard Sale
NEW JERSEY – The St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church Holy Name Society will again sponsor a Yard Sale, 8 A.M. to 2 P.M., Saturday, August 3, “rain or shine,” in the parking lot at the church, 30 Jackson St., South River. Vendor spaces are available at a cost of $20/table.  Breakfast items, hamburgers, hot dogs, fries and beverages will be available for purchase during the event.  Call Pete at 732-651-8235 to reserve a table or for information.

Parish Polish Picnic
MASSACHUSETTS – The annual Parish Polish Picnic, sponsored by Holy Cross Parish, Polish National Catholic Church, will take place on Sunday, August 11 beginning at 12:00 noon on the parish premises in Ware, MA. The traditional Polish kitchen will feature the Holy Cross Ladies traditional fresh cabbage pierogi with special ingredients giving good taste, golabki, barszcz, kielbasa and cabbage, along with the popular Polish Platter; several booths featuring filled baskets, baked goods, This and That, balloon and straw games. At 4:00 pm a cash drawing will take place. An invitation is extended to our many, many friends in Ware and surrounding towns to please attend and support this annual affair that constitutes one large family enjoying the events of the afternoon and promoting fellowship with one another.
