St. Michael’s To Participate In Fortnight For Freedom
LYNDHURST, NEW JERSEY – St. Michael the Archangel Parish will participate in the Fortnight for Freedom, 14 days of prayer and fasting for religious liberty ending on July 4. The U.S. bishops have called for the Fortnight for Freedom to address the current challenges to religious liberty. At St. Michael’s, the Fortnight for Freedom events begin on June 21st with prayer for religious liberty in our nation at the end of the 7:00 AM Mass, the 8:00 AM Mass, and the 12 Noon Mass. On June 27th, there will be prayers for religious liberty in our nation coinciding with the all day Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Prayer times will be at 7:30 AM, 8:30 AM, 12:30 PM, and with Benediction at 7:30 PM. The Fortnight for Freedom events conclude at St. Michael’s on July 4 with prayers for religious liberty in our nation after 7:00 AM Mass and 9:00 AM Mass.
Family Trip To Camelbeach Waterpark
NEW JERSEY – The Clifton Recreation Department will be sponsoring a family trip to the Camelbeach Waterpark on Saturday, July 13. Cool off in the swimming pool, wave pool or adventure river. Try all 22 of the exciting waterslides, including the Checkered Flag Challenge, Triple Venom speed slides, Vortex & Spin Cycle bowl slides and the Titan family tubing adventure. Bring the family to explore Camel Cove, an interactive activity pool with mini slides, giant tipping bucket and lots of water surprises. Combine all this water excitement with great food and a beautiful mountainside setting. The price is $44.00 per person for children and adults ages 3 and over. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Picnic tables are also available to rent for the day for mealtimes and personal belongings (at your own risk). Each picnic table costs $12.00 for up to 8 people. Pre-registration is required. Register at the Clifton Recreation Department. Deadline is Monday, June 24th. Free Legal Workshop
NEW JERSEY – Women in Transition will present a Free Legal Workshop on Monday, June 24th from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm on “Knowing Your Legal Rights in Divorce”, facilitated by Passaic County attorney Scott Bocker. Open to all women who are interested in being educated about the legal and financial issues of separation and divorce, the workshop will take place at the Wayne Counseling Center at 1022 Hamburg Turnpike, Wayne. Public Invited To Talk By Two Psychiatrists
NEW JERSEY – On Wednesday evening, June 26, the DEPRESSION AND BIPOLAR SUPPORT ALLIANCE (DBSA) will feature at its monthly meeting Ivan Goldberg, M.D. and Howard Rudominer, M.D.: ASK TWO DOCTORS! They will answer ALL questions about depression and bipolar illness. These educational meetings of the organization take place the last Wednesday of every month at 7:45 pm using the facilities of the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship, 21 Normandy Heights Road (about one block east of the Morris Museum), in Morristown.
