Women of MSCPWA Hold Scholarship Fundraiser
NEW YORK – You are cordially invited to the MARIE SKLODOWSKA CURIE PROFESSIONAL WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION’s SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER and Ignacy Jan Paderewski Essay Contest Awards Presentation on Friday, June 14th, with a Buffet supper at the Princess Manor, 92 Nassau Avenue, Brooklyn. Super Yard Sale Scheduled
NEW YORK – The Hudson Valley Polonaise Society will be holding their annual Yard Sale on Saturday, June 15 at the CYO, 662 County Rt. 1 in Pine Island from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. No early birds please! Our raffle table will display an assortment of prizes, and the bake table will be featuring tempting, delicious home-baked goods donated by members and friends of the HVPS. Carnival At St. Stans
NEW JERSEY – ST. STANISLAUS KOSTKA CHURCH, 225 MacArthur Ave, Sayreville will be holding their annual Carnival from June 19th to June 22nd. DAV Harley-Davidson Event
NEW JERSEY – So many veterans feel confused about benefits and services they’ve earned. There is so much to know and so many changes from one year to the next. That is why the nonprofit DAV (Disabled American Veterans) and the Harley-Davidson Foundation have teamed up to offer help. The DAV Mobile Service Office will be at the Bergen County Harley-Davidson, 124 Essex Street, Rochelle Park from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, to personally provide the best counseling and claim filing assistance available. This event is part of the nationwide Harley’s Heroes tour and is free to all veterans and members of their families. Movies Under The Stars At Belmont Oval, Garfield
NEW JERSEY – Spencer Savings Bank and The Garfield YMCA are hosting “Movie Under the Stars” on Friday, June 21st. They would like to invite Garfield families out for a FREE family movie night at the Belmont Oval Field located on Spring Street. In the feature film we visit the planet Baab where Scorch Supernova is a national hero, but when Scorch finds himself caught in a fiendish trap set by the evil Shanker, it’s up to scrawny, risk-adverse brother Gary to do the real rescuing. There will be no cost for admission. Additional activities include face painting, a bounce house and door prizes that will be raffled off among the crowd! Food, refreshments and freshly popped popcorn will be available for a small donation. There will also be a Super Cash 50/50 taking place, with the winning tickets being pulled at 10:00 PM. All proceeds will benefit the YMCA’s Strong Kids Campaign! So Grab your blankets and chairs and arrive early for a great spot. The movie will begin at dusk, which will be around 8:30 PM. The Rain Date is scheduled for Saturday, June 22nd.
