Lecture On Warsaw Ghetto Uprising
CONNECTICUT – The S.A. Blejwas Endowed Chair in Polish Studies presents The Milewski Lecture In Polish History “What was unique about the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising” by Samuel Kassow, scheduled for Thursday, May 9th at 7:00 p.m. at the Central Connecticut State University, 2nd floor of the Elihu Burritt Library, 1615 Stanley Street, New Britain. Samuel Kassow, Northam Professor of History at Trinity College, will discuss the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising of April 1943 and explain what made it different from attempted armed uprisings in other ghettos. An exhibit will be displayed at the library entitled “70th Anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising”. The lecture is FREE and the public is cordially invited. PCHS Genealogy Club Meeting, May 11th
NEW JERSEY – On Saturday, May 11, at 10 a.m., the Passaic County Historical Society Genealogy Club will meet at Lambert Castle Museum, 3 Valley Road, Paterson. After a brief business meeting, the April program will be “Good Deeds: Unearthing Your Ancestor in Land Records,” presented by Joe Grabas. The PCHS Genealogy Club meets once a month from September through May. Program topics relate to genealogy and usually include a guest speaker. The meetings are open to the public and everyone is welcome.
