Children’s Events At Wallington Library
NEW JERSEY – The JFK Library (92 Hathaway St., Wallington) is pleased to present its Children’s Calendar for March. We will have two BINGO days (ages 3 & Up) on 3/13 and 3/27 beginning at 3:30 pm. March MOVIE NIGHT will be held on Thursday, 3/20, at the VFW at 6:30 pm. The movie will be FROZEN which is rated PG. We do start the movie promptly at 6:30, so please don’t be late. CRAFTS, CRAFTS, CRAFTS….craft days are held on Mondays (ages 3 to 5) and Tuesdays (ages 6 to 8) at 3:30 pm and will cover a variety of subjects. We start off the month by celebrating the birthday of Dr. Seuss (held on 3/3 & 3/4) and we couldn’t forget St. Patrick’s Day – we will do a St. Patty’s craft on Monday, 3/17. Flea Market & Collectible Show

MASSACHUSETTS – St. Valentine’s Polish National Catholic Church, 127 King Street, Northampton, MA will hold a “Spaghetti Dinner” on Saturday, March 15th at 5 p.m. in the Parish Hall. The menu: Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, Spaghetti with Meatless Sauce, Meatballs, Garlic Bread, Salad, Coffee/tea/milk, dessert. Clifton Recreation’s Family Bowling Night
NEW JERSEY – Gather your family and friends and join the Clifton Recreation Department for a fun night of bowling on Friday, March 14, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Garden Palace Lanes – 42 Lakeview Ave., Clifton. The event includes two hours of bowling, shoe rental, pizza, soda, laser lights, bowling bingo and more fun-filled contests. The cost is $40 per lane (6 people per lane is recommended). Grab a lane for your family, friends, co-workers or neighbors. It’s your lane – invite whomever you want! Only 16 lanes are available, so purchase yours today! Care Taker Support Groups
NEW JERSEY – Family Circle Support Group March 12th & 26th, 7 to 8:30 pm and Sharing Yarn Support Group March 20th, 1 to 2:30 pm. The Family Circle and Sharing Yarn are support groups offered to families caring for an adult loved one suffering from mental illness. These groups provide an opportunity for you to meet other family members caring for a relative with a mental illness. These groups can reduce your stress, provide support and increase your coping skills in a professional and peer facilitated environment. St. Joseph’s Dinner & Celebration
PENNSYLVANIA – Chris Pagoda, member of Council 21 will chair the Annual St. Joseph’s Dinner and Celebration, to be held on Saturday March 22, 2014 at the Touch of Class at the Palace in Wilkes-Barre. Cocktails will be served at 5:30 P.M. with the Program and Dinner beginning at 6:00 P.M. Members of the Committee are Charlotte Androckitis, Bill Giebus and Linda Howell all members of Council # 21. Traditional observances will be held to honor St. Joseph. St Joseph’s Day is designated as March 19th on the Roman Catholic Calendar. St Joseph’s Day is widely celebrated in Poland and many other European countries such as Italy where the tradition in the Sicily area began in the 1500’s. St Joseph, the protector of the Holy family was a carpenter by trade. Many believe that because of his trade, if they pray to him they will be granted special favors such as the successful selling of property and any financial needs they may have.
