Weekly Bake Sales To Benefit Relay For Life
NEW JERSEY – Tri M Music Honor Society, a Clifton High School organization and a team in the Relay for Life, will be sponsoring bake sales every Friday at Clifton High School. Students and teachers are generously baking for this event in support of the team. For security reasons, the public is not able to enjoy the baked goods but can support this team with monetary donations. If you would like to support the team as they fight for a cure for cancer, please make your check payable to ACS Relay for Life, and mail it to Natalie Babiak c/o Clifton High School, 333 Colfax Avenue, Clifton, New Jersey 07013. The Relay for Life of Clifton will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014 2 PM to June 1, 2014 6 AM. PUC Announces Scholarships
NEW JERSEY – The Polish University Club of New Jersey (PUCNJ) announces its scholarships for the upcoming school year. The PUCNJ was originally conceived in 1928 by a group of Polish-American college graduates who had an interest in helping the young Polonians of NJ. In the beginning it was with essays for the lower school students and then it was decided to help those at the university level. These scholarships are for New Jersey residents who will have completed their sophomore year at an accredited college/university or who have graduated from an accredited Junior College. The student must have a minimum GPA of 2.8, complete an essay, a personal interview, FASFA report and have 2 letters of recommendation. Since 1941 over 500 students have received financial help from the PUCNJ.The application can be found in Financial Aid Offices and on line at www.PUCNJ.ORG. Deadline for the scholarship application is March 21st. This is a one time award.

Bus Trip To Mt. Airy Lodge

Happy “65th” Wedding Anniversary!
CONNECTICUT – Ed & Irene Satkowski of Newington will be celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary on February 26, 2014. Ed and Irene were married at the Holy Cross Church in New Britain by the late Father Benedict Sutala. Ed and Irene both retired in 1987, Ed from the Hartford Courant as Credit Manager, and Irene from the State of Connecticut Labor Department. Ed & Irene have four children; Elaine Bruemmer, Steven and Richard Satkowski and Cathy Scallion, five grandchildren; Denise Carter, Stacey Riley, Nicole and Trevor Satkowski and Ryan Scallion; three great grandchildren; Andrew Carter, MacKenzie and Callie Riley. The family will gather at the Polish National Home in Hartford to celebrate this milestone.
