German Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
NEW JERSEY - St. John Lutheran Church, located at 140 Lexington Ave., Passaic, will be having a German Christmas Eve Candlelight Service on Tuesday, December 24 at 5 pm. There will be special music and a Sermon in German. This historic 125 year old church has beautiful imported German stained glass windows which includes a Nativity Window. Polish Christmas Carol Sing-A-Long
MASSACHUSETTS – The Polish Heritage Committee in Northampton is sponsoring a Polish Christmas Carol Sing Along on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at 2 p.m. at St. Valentine Polish National Catholic Church, 127 King Street, Northampton, MA. All friends of Polonia are cordially invited to attend. The carols will be led by singers from area church choirs. An afternoon of music and fellowship is surely to be enjoyed by all. ESL Classes At Passaic Public Library
NEW JERSEY – The Passaic Public Library, in collaboration with Literacy Volunteers of America, will be offering two English as a Second Language classes, Mondays through Thursdays, starting Monday, January 13, 2014 through Thursday, March 20. Students may register for one class only. The morning class will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Reid Memorial Library, 80 Third Street, Passaic. The evening class will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Passaic Public Library, 195 Gregory Avenue, Passaic. There is a $50.00 non-refundable fee which must be paid at time of registration. PUC Scholarship Ball
NEW JERSEY – The 85th Scholarship Ball for the Polish University Club of New Jersey is set for Sunday, February 16th, 2014 at the Royal Manor in Garfield N. J. The affair will run from 5 PM until 10 PM with a cocktail reception, dinner and dancing. The Ablemen Band will play and the PKM Dancers of Philadelphia will perform.
