Bud Hundenski & The Corsairs
Release New CD “Live At Musikfest”

By on June 23, 2014

Swingtime Music is proud to present to you a very special and significant recording of musical enjoyment by Bud Hundenski & the Corsairs, “Live at Musikfest” in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

scan0017The date was August 11, 2013; and the event was the annual “Musikfest”, a 9-day multi-cultural celebration of some of the most prominent musical entertainers in the nation, which has now taken place for more than 30 years! This un-planned live recording has captured that special performance by Bud and the band, being featured for the grand finale – the 9th and final day of the festival. Here you will experience the excitement, spontaneity and exhilaration of this event, including the cheering crowd, along with the background noise for a true and natural effect. Presented are a dozen Polkas, Waltzes and Obereks (both vocals and instrumentals), just as they were captured by the sound and production crew during this memorable event. Some of the tunes are special selections, having never previously been recorded, in addition to all-time favorites which have become signature tunes of the band for many years. Featured are the voice of Eddie Biegaj (appropriately dubbed by Bud as the “Polish Pavarotti”), the masterful clarinets of two of the finest, Chuck Pendrak & Ricky Gazda, complimented by Bud’s peaking trumpets and thunderous rhythm section. This enduring combination has produced that unmistakable and distinctive Hundenski sound, which continues to satisfy the taste of Polka lovers as it has now for more than 4 decades! So with each play you can now re-live that magical day, by experiencing the sound of one of the precious few traditional Polish Big Bands remaining on the circuit today – Bud Hundenski & the Corsairs “Live at Musikfest”!
